Asim is a Senior Equity Analyst responsible for Asian developed markets, namely Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Prior to joining Global Alpha in 2025, Asim was an Equity Analyst on the EAFE Large-Cap Team at Mawer Investment Management in Toronto. Before that, he was the Japan Equity Analyst on the Global Equities Team at KB Securities in Seoul. Previously, Asim was an Asian Portfolio Manager on the Global Equities Team at Nomura Asset Management in Tokyo. He speaks fluent Japanese.

Asim earned his Master of Science in China in Comparative Perspective from the London School of Economics. He also received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science minoring in Biology from the University of Waterloo. He is a CFA charterholder.

Asim enjoys traveling, learning languages and breakdancing.
